Prof. Mutawakilu Adisa Tiamiyu

Mutawakilu Adisa Tiamiyu is Professor of Information Science at the Africa Regional Centre for Information Science (ARCIS), University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees in economics from the University of Ibadan in 1979 and 1984, and master's and doctoral degrees in information science at the University of Western Ontario in 1985 and 1990 respectively. He teaches information systems and technology courses at ARCIS, CPEEL, and in the MBA, Master of Development Practice, and Communication and Language Arts programmes at the University. He has also had academic stints at universities in Ghana and Botswana. His areas of research interest include e-government, management information systems, knowledge organization, and database management, and has authored and edited five books and published more than 50 articles in international journals.
